Documents can be organized in folders, which can be configured with individual access rights. Like text messages, Sorum transmits all documents using end-to-end encryption.

Sorum features an elaborated security concept which ensures maximum security on multiple levels.
Sorum relieves you from exhausting installation and support efforts associated with operating a highly secure infrastructure. Our servers are hosted in Ascaion's secure cloud. Therefore, all you need is a web browser in order to use Sorum. Of course, Sorum can also be hosted in your own environment, if desired.
Even though many services provide an encrypted data transfer, most of them store data without any sophisticated encryption. If such a system is compromised, an attacker gains full access to all data stored on the server. Therefore, Sorum stores only end-to-end encrypted data. The keys used for encryption never leave the user's local device. Data stored on the server is therefore not readable by third parties.
Optionally, a two-factor authentication can be activated for increased security demands. In addition to their password, users then also have to enter a random code, which is generated by the Ascaion Authenticator app.
Sorum ensures the authenticity of every message and allows users to verify the sender's identity.
Access to all data is controlled by explicit authorizations for each user. Different user groups and roles with different access rights can be distinguished.
